Car insurance for young driver is always expensive. Would-be policy holders have to pay slightly higher premiums than most policies in order to protect themselves and their vehicles, as well as those they might get into an accident with.

There are ways, however, to get cheaper car insurance for young driver. But beware – cheap insurance is not necessarily the best insurance policy. The most important factor to consider in getting car insurance for young driver is the coverage that it offers.

Here are the three different types of coverage of young driver car insurance:

Third Party
This type coverage is the minimum required by the government. This is usually applied for when registering or renewing vehicle registration. It covers the driver against damage to property, loss of life, and injuries that passengers may incur because of the accident.

Third Party, Fire and Theft
This is an improved version of the previous policy. This type of coverage includes damages that may be done to your vehicle caused by accidental fires, as well as possible car replacement, if stolen.

Fully Comprehensive
This type of coverage is the most expensive. Aside from providing the same type of guarantee the first two types of coverage give, it also provides compensation for theft of valuables left inside a vehicle; medical injuries and death of insured and victims.
